Covid-19 Update – 12th April

As restrictions gradually begin to ease, the rules for funerals remain largely the same for the time being, which means that funeral arrangements still need to take place virtually, either by telephone, video call or e-mail.

The rules on attendance at funerals have not changed, which means that up to 30 family and friends are still able to attend a funeral service held at a church or crematorium, although in some smaller venues the limit is less due to social distancing.

Cremated remains can still be interred or scattered, with up to 15 people in attendance.

Social distancing, face coverings, hand washing and good ventilation will all continue to be used across our offices and at funeral venues.

Should you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss further.

The guidelines from each Crematorium in our area are as follows:
Weston Mill Crematorium, Plymouth – 25 mourners.
Efford Crematorium, Plymouth – 20 mourners.
Glynn Valley Crematorium – 16 mourners.
Torquay Crematorium – 20 mourners.
Exeter Crematorium – 12 mourners (St. Paul’s), 30 mourners (St. Peter’s).
East Devon Crematorium – 30 mourners.
