Hannah obtains embalming qualification

Hannah approached our Embalming Manager, Grahame Parker, 8 years ago, as a bright-eyed 18 year old.  She asked what it takes to become an embalmer and the flame was ignited!

In early 2017, Hannah started to follow her dream, and began her journey on the road to qualification. She signed up for the course with Ray Hood and started to visit us at Market Road for practical sessions to tie in with her theory, whilst working elsewhere full-time.  After 12 months there was an opening at Walter Parson for a trainee Embalmer, Hannah jumped at this opportunity, officially joining the Company in July 2018.

She continued to learn the theory & practical skills needed to qualify as an Embalmer, and became a member of the British Institute of Embalmers in February 2019.

Hannah is a key team member in our department and thanks to her hard work and commitment, she now benefits from her dream of 8 years ago being her reality today.
