I have been helping the stray dogs and cats from Mauritius for over 7 years and have found homes overseas for over 1500 in this time. I started my journey with the Mauritian strays back in 2017 when I adopted my first Maurichien from the Ambre Hotel beach in Belle Mare and then a further two more from the streets to join my English pack of 5 already in the U.K. The dogs of the Belle Mare and East coast region have always had a special place in my heart as this is where my journey started.In June 2022 due to the overwhelming rescue crisis in the UK I decided to stop rehoming and instead concentrate on caring for the strays on the island through an Animal Welfare Project. This is when The Strays of Belle Mare and East Coast Animal Welfare Project was launched! ▼
