We strive to deliver a first class service, one which would only be acceptable to a member of our own family. We believe, maintaining this strong ethos through our staff and by training them to the highest standards of the profession, we are able to consistently deliver this service to our clients.

Opened in 2009 and situated in the centre of town, our purpose built office has been thoughtfully transformed to provide a dedicated service chapel for 30 people, with customer parking beside the building.

We are very proud of our premises which provide a modern, personal and professional feel with a warm welcome to those visiting our office with easy parking, level access and comfortable facilities. These include a reception, two arrangement offices, two chapels of rest – which can be opened to create a service chapel for up to 30 people, a state-of-the-art mortuary, coffin preparation workshop and garage.

Neil Reeves is the resident qualified Funeral Director and is there to help you with important arrangements.

At our Newton Abbot office we offer local direct cremation, competitively priced simple funerals and completely personalised traditional funeral services. Fully guaranteed pre-paid funeral plans are also available.

Our Newton Abbot office serves Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey, Teignmouth, Dawlish and the surrounding areas.

The team at Walter C. Parson Funeral Directors in Newton Abbot were outstanding. From the first introductory telephone call from Neil followed by our meeting with a caring cup of tea to go over the necessaries, to the organisation and details for preparing my beautiful Sister for her 'Celebration of Life' by Chloe, you were all wonderful. No pressure, just honourable advice and understanding. The day was sunny and glorious and my Sister's spirit soared thanks to the care we received. Five stars because we couldn't give more. From the outset we had absolute confidence in the service provided for the funeral of our mother Joyce by Mr David Parslow and the WCP team at Newton Abbot. Our wishes and instructions were followed with attention to detail. It gave us comfort and peace of mind knowing that we would be able to honour our mum in a personal dignified way. Even in torrential rain the funeral director paged the hearse and the bearers carried out their duties with professionalism, for which we are grateful. During what was one of the hardest things myself and family have had to deal with, this company was absolutely amazing! My father passed away suddenly. We had dealings with David who my mum booked with. He was such a lovely soft man who had the upmost compassion for our situation. The information to help us and directions he gave were so helpful. Also Chloe, nothing was to much trouble at all. Answering all our questions about different aspects of the chapel of rest. On the day, the lovely people who bought dad were brilliant in helping us with carrying dad in made it comfortable. Newton Abbot branch, what a wonderful office!

One of the hardest times of your life and made so very much more comfortable by the wonderful team at Walter C Parsons. Nothing was too much trouble, even our daily visits to the chapel or last minute changes to the service. We can’t thank you enough, particularly Lesley and David.

I met Alan back in February when sadly my Mum had passed away.. What a wonderful guy he is.. He has a wealth of knowledge that helped us give Mum the send off we wanted.. Nothing was too much trouble and he made sure I was always informed of everything.. Sadly my husband passed in June.. there was absolutely no hesitation in wanting Alan to help me again.. Yet again he made things so much easier for me..Making sure I was informed and guiding me to achieve the funeral I wanted. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone and am so happy to have had him by my side during the last 5 months. Absolute first class service.

For anyone who has had a recent bereavement, it is an incredibly difficult time and one of, if not the worst time of my life loosing my mother. However I cant thank WCP for their professionalism, sympathy, understanding and grace at every step of the way. From being in the office to the day of the service they are responsive and willing to help with any request, and the order of service created will be kept for ever. The Service and ceremony itself was the best I could have asked for and have no hesitation to recommend them to anyone. If you visit I cant recommend Alan-Baker Bright enough. A true honest gentlemen who has a heart of gold. Thank you WCP
