In 2003, David Pidgen entrusted his business to Walter C. Parson, a family run company originating from Stoke Climsland, Cornwall.  Pidgen & Son is now run by our team of local, qualified funeral directors, headed by David Fowell.

Our office has been recently refurbished and is situated in the shadow of Penntorr Health Centre, just off the main Trevol Road, near HMS Raleigh, in a country setting with ample parking facilities.

At our Torpoint office we offer local direct cremation, competitively priced simple funerals and completely personalised traditional funeral services. Fully guaranteed pre-paid funeral plans are also available.

Our Torpoint office serves Torpoint, Millbrook, Antony, Sheviock, Downderry and the surrounding areas.

We lost Mum after a very short illness, and throughout this difficult time, Pidgeon & Son were incredibly sensitive, helpful, and efficient in ensuring all our wishes were respected. Nothing was ever too much trouble — I often received daily phone calls to keep me updated and to make sure everything was proceeding as planned. They gave their time generously, showing genuine care and compassion. I wholeheartedly recommend their company for their outstanding support and professionalism in every aspect of the care they provided for Mum.

I am enormously thankful to the Torpoint team of Pidgen and son. At the worst time of my life, when my husband passed away, they were incredibly reassuring, professional, caring, compassionate, helpful and kind. David Fowell recently helped with the funeral arrangements for my father-in-law. He kept us fully updated with everything. Nothing was too much trouble. He showed us such kindness and his manner is brilliant. All his team were great. I've dealt with other funeral directors before who were "all doom and gloom" but David was a breath of fresh air and helped us to celebrate my father-in-law's life. He's an absolute asset to your company.

Sadly my mother passed away in hospital just before Christmas 2017. Pidgen and Son Funeral Service worked with my brother to provide a well executed and thoughtful day, of which my mother would have been proud, including both church service and cremation. I found their staff both courteous and thoughtful . Their management of the whole ceremony was marvellous, helping all family members to get through what would otherwise have been a very stressful time. Thanks so much for all your help.
