The charity was established in 1972 and are a local charity supporting local people affected by cancer. We are proud to support the Oncology Centre and Mustard Tree at Derriford Hospital. We do this by:- 1) Providing financial assistance where hardship arises from Cancer for things like travel costs to attend treatment, wigs, clothes. 2) Improving local facilities for the diagnosis, treatment and care of cancer patients such as funding Cancer Specialist Nurses, medical equipment for oncology patients. 3) Supporting local research for example we funded a lung cancer project which aims to understand what might improve the lives of those people living with that type of cancer 4) Promoting education for cancer specialists aimed at improving patient care. ▼
Our vision is a community, where no person has to die alone, in pain or in distress. ▼
Lynda was a wonderful friend for almost 60 years . So many happy memories of fun times spent in our nursing years. Whatever life threw at her she dealt with . Her humour, quirkiness, kindness will be with me for ever. Her lovely family are testament to her. Rest in peace my beautiful friend
Walter C. Parson Funeral Directors is a family business established in 1842 at Stoke Climsland, Cornwall. It has, either by inheritance or acquisition, remained in the family over seven generations. We strive to deliver a first class service, one which would only be acceptable to a member of our own family. We believe that by maintaining this strong ethos through our staff and by training them to the highest standards of the profession, we are able to consistently deliver this service to our clients. This, in turn, has enabled a small family owned funeral director to grow into a group serving the South West Peninsula, covering Plymouth at St Judes, Crownhill, Plympton and Plymstock; Ivybridge, Tavistock, Callington, Torpoint, Saltash, Newton Abbot, Torquay and Exeter. ▼
