Part Time Driver/Bearer – Newton Abbot
Zero Hours Basis
£8.21 per hour
Weekdays and weekend out of hours “on-call” rota.

Due to the current expansion of our Newton Abbot area, we are seeking additional team members to join our team of Driver/Bearers part time on a zero hours basis.
This role will be primarily based at the Newton Abbot Office but will also cover Funerals in Torquay and Exeter as required, a vehicle will be provided if travel is required outside the Newton Abbot area.  Due to the nature of our work we need a team that are flexible in working hours and location and able to cover the “on-call” removal rota on a 24 hour basis for which there are additional “on-call” payments and on a per removal rate.
This role is being offered on a casual basis with there being greater demand at certain times of the year.
The position will provide a great opportunity to explore a new career in Funeral Services, or may suit someone looking for a few hours with no guaranteed commitment or additional hours to supplement another income.

Please note that whilst mechanical means are used as much as possible there are occasions where lifting and carrying heavy weights are part of the role.
Manual handling training is provided and the company takes their responsibility seriously; however, applicants must be able to carry out the full duties of the role.

Our ideal person will be well presented, have excellent customer service, good manners and won’t mind being outside in all weathers.
A full clean driving licence is also a must and living within the Newton Abbot or surrounding areas would be preferable.
