John aged 91 years.

Loving Grandad to Daniel, Lee, Adam, Joe, Scott, Ben, Shannon, Rebecca and Jacob
Great Grandad to Maddy, Bobby, Grace, Henry, Charlie and Lucy.

We knew we had to lose you,
As the days were slipping by,
We tried so hard to help you,
And so hard not to cry,
We sat beside your bedside,
And held your hand with love,
We stroked your head with tenderness
And prayed to God above,
In the silence of the moment,
You heard God’s gentle call,
With farewells left unspoken,
You quietly left us all,
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home,
Reunited with his beloved wife, Elisabeth
