Passed away on 6th January 2026, aged 90 years.
Family flowers only please. Donations if desired for Plymouth Hospitals Charity – Paediatric Diabetes Team.
Last year, our lives changed forever when Peter’s great-granddaughter, Darcey, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. It was frightening, overwhelming, and completely uncharted territory for us as a family. In those moments when we felt lost and scared, the Paediatric Diabetes Team at Plymouth Hospital wrapped us in care, kindness and reassurance.
They didn’t just treat Darcey’s condition — they looked after us all with such care. They took the time to explain, to comfort, to guide, and to give us confidence when everything felt impossible. Their compassion continues to this day, and we will forever be grateful for the way they have supported Darcey and our whole family.
This cause was incredibly close to Peter’s heart. He adored his family, especially his great-grandchildren, and he cared deeply about Darcey’s journey. Knowing how well she has been cared for meant everything to him. Supporting this team in his memory feels like a very fitting way to honour the love, kindness and strength he showed throughout his life.
All funds raised will go to Plymouth Hospital Charity, to be forwarded directly to the Paediatric Diabetes Department, helping them continue their vital work supporting children like Darcey, and the families who suddenly find themselves walking this same path.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for helping us remember Peter in a way that brings comfort, care and hope to others.
