SHONE BEM, Michael John Paul (Micky)

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Michael Shone BEM, aged 77, of Torpoint, who passed peacefully on Tuesday 14 October 2025.

Born on 14 June 1948, in Chester England to his parents, Ronald and Peg.

Micky was a Royal Navy Veteran having joined (HMS Ganges) as a teenage boy aged 15 years until his retirement from Regular service in 1998.  He went onto to serve for another 17 years with the Marine Society and Sea Cadets, employed at the Sea Cadet Training Centre, HMS Raleigh, until his retirement in 2015, having spent his life in uniform serving Queen, Country and the Youth Charity sector.

He is survived by his wife Pauline, sons Wayne and Gareth and grandson Archie.  A real force of nature and truly one of a kind, his passing will be deeply felt.

His funeral will take place on Tuesday 4 November 2025 at 1100, at St Paul’s Church of England Church, HMS Raleigh, Torpoint, followed by a private burial.  The Family kindly request no flowers.
