The Park, Plymouth City Council’s new crematorium

Over the past few days, our team members have been visiting The Park, Plymouth City Council’s new crematorium, located at Merafield Road, Plympton.

We were all very impressed with the modern, bright, comfortable facilities which are a huge step forward for bereaved families in Plymouth.

There are three ceremony rooms, accommodating 120, 80 and 12 mourners.

The Park will open for funerals on Monday 12^th August 2024.

Efford Crematorium has now stopped taking bookings and will close on Friday 9^th August.

Whilst Weston Mill Crematorium remains open for now, all cremations will take place at The Park going forward and we will confirm the closure date for Weston Mill in due course.

Burials will remain available at both Efford and Weston Mill.
