From my initial contact the process was a smooth one and Chloe showed kindness and compassion when she came to the house to take Dad into your care. I was reassured that he was in safe hands as was the organisation and planning of the funeral with your obvious attention to detail. You were always available if I needed to ask question and at our first meeting you made me feel reassured and that the family’s requests for the funeral could be accommodated. I appreciated your phone calls to ensure that myself and the family were coping, and also those to update me on the funeral planning process. Thank you for facilitating my nephew to sit with my father the day before the funeral and to yourself for alleviating Hugo’s worries. Hugo was particularly close to my father and told me afterwards that being able to say his goodbyes in private and your willingness to answer any questions that he had, made the day of the funeral easier to cope with. Your meticulous planning ensured that the day was as stress-free as possible for us and I wonder if you also had something to do with the rain being a gentle drizzle, instead of a downpour, enabling those that wanted to be able to walk to church behind the hearse. The umbrellas were appreciated. Thank you also for caring for and supporting my mother, who I think was a little overwhelmed at times, though I know she didn’t show it. Please thank all the WCP team who worked alongside you in looking after my father and those who helped to ensure that his last day, and final journey, will have been one he would have approved of. Please also congratulate Chloe on her exam success for me. Once she has qualified she will make a lovely funeral director. – Suzie”
