NewsCOVID-19 UPDATE – 6th JULYCOVID-19 UPDATE – 6th JULY As Government guidelines are updated, and restrictions eased, we are pleased to let you know that from Monday 6th July 2020, we will once again be able to provide transport for our families on funerals.Please see the attached image for guidance on how we plan to achieve this safely and within current guidelines.We will also be re-introducing face to face appointments to arrange funerals, either in our offices, or at your home, as long as current social distancing guidelines can be adhered to.If you need any further advice on the current situation surrounding funerals, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01752 767676. Funerals are continuing to be impacted by the social distancing guidelines from Public Health England.The guidelines currently offered by the Government on who should attend funerals during this time are:Members of the person’s householdClose family membersOr if the above are unable to attend, close friendsThe guidelines from each Crematorium and Church are as follows:Weston Mill & Efford Crematoria, Plymouth – 10 mourners, sat in alternate pews.Glynn Valley Crematorium – 16 mourners.Torquay Crematorium – 20 mourners.Exeter Crematorium – 12 mourners (St. Paul’s), 30 mourners (St. Peter’s).East Devon Crematorium – 20 mourners.Church of England – up to 30 depending on venue size.Roman Catholic Church – up to 30 depending on venue size.Baptist Union – up to 30 depending on venue size.Methodist Church – up to 30 depending on venue size.If a member of your immediate family as defined above is travelling to attend a funeral and requires Proof of Essential Travel, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be pleased to provide you with proof on our headed paper.We will keep you updated via our website and social media as soon as we have any further updates.
