“Dear John,

Just a quick message in response to your request for feedback in respect of your services.My dear wife passed away, from complications of her brain tumour.

From the first contact on your out-of-hours number that morning, to the removal, to Martyn’s liaison, to Vikki’s explanation of my options and finally collecting the ashes yesterday, I was nothing short of awestruck at the exceptional calibre, professionalism and compassion of your people.

Absolutely everything was handled with the utmost thoughtfulness and kindness throughout, even to the extent of bending over backwards to prepare my wife and open up the office specially on a Sunday afternoon, so her eldest son was able to see his mum, since he was sadly in the air when she actually passed away, and really needed to see her and say goodbye.

I was not recommended your company by anyone, did no Internet searching, but just happened to walk in to your Plymstock branch one afternoon a few weeks ago. I was immediately impressed with the care and attention that Sarah devoted to my vague initial enquiry and decided there and then that I did not need to ‘shop around’.

Given that my wife did not want a traditional service, I was probably not going to be your best customer from a sales value point of view, but nevertheless Vikki and Sarah treated me as if I were, and again could not do enough to make this distressing time significantly less so.

As manager, no small credit is due to you, for your obvious dedication and commitment in building a team that was able to work so flawlessly, compassionately and effectively together to deliver exactly what my dear wife deserved – the best.
