Covid-19 Update – Registration

As we ease out of Covid-19 restrictions within the Bereavement Sector, the biggest change at the moment is regarding registration. As of 25th March 2022, the registration of all deaths must be completed in person at the Registrar’s office.

The Doctor will still be able to issue the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death (“Death Certificate”) electronically and send it direct to the Registrar on your behalf. You will then need to contact the Registrar to make an appointment. We would urge you to give the Registrar permission to send us the paperwork which we need for the funeral to take place (Green Certificate) via e-mail, to ensure there are no delays.

As ever, your Funeral Director and our qualified staff will be able to offer you full advice on this subject.
