International Women’s Day

Happy International Women’s Day!  Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women worldwide.

At the Walter C. Parson Group, we’ve always championed women in our profession. Beryl Parson broke stereotypes by bravely taking charge of the business during World War II. At that time, it was highly unusual for a woman to be running any sort of business and the move prompted much interest as the mother of four became, it was claimed, the only female undertaker in the country.

Her daughter, Pat, carried on this legacy, becoming a Partner in 1980 and Chairperson in 1999, confidently leading the way.

Today, these empowered women continue to inspire our female staff every day. From our female bearers to administrators, graphic designer, accountant, and our 8 fully qualified female Funeral Directors, The Walter C. Parson Group is proud to have a diverse team of fabulous ladies.
